Enjoy the seclusion and quiet of a log cabin get-away among the birch and pine woodlands of Harlow Lake and Harlow Creek. Natural beauty surrounds you with eighteen miles of hiking trails, over four miles of Lake Superior beach, breathtaking scenery, fishing opportunities, and wildlife at Little Presque Isle.
Little Presque Isle offers unique recreation experiences for all seasons. Take advantage of Spring flowers, summer's warmth, magnificent autumn colors, or consider a winter stay and snowshoe to your cabin or use the 6 mile long Harlow Lake nordic ski trail.
The woods and waters of Little Presque Isle offer a variety of habitats for birds and animals to find food, water and cover. A hike on the 1.1 mile Songbird Trail takes you through a variety of local habitats to view several species of birds.

Area Directions
From Marquette North on County Rd. 550; Harlow Lake Rd is 6.6 miles north from the intersection of Wright Street and Sugar Loaf Ave. Parking for cabins 1 thru 3 is at the end of a short trail road which is located 1.1 miles from County Rd. 550/Harlow Lake Road intersection. Parking for cabins 4 & 5 is at the end of a short trail road which is located 1.2 miles from County Rd. 550/Harlow Lake Road intersection. Parking for Cabin 6 is located just north of Harlow Creek off of County Rd. 550, summer months is 1/10 mile beyond the yellow gate.
Rustic Accommodations
The log cabins are one room that can accommodate up to six people. Water is provided by an outdoor hand pump and vault toilets are nearby. A woodstove provides warmth in cold weather. There is NO electricity at Little Presque Isle.
Guests should provide all basic necessities for camping in the cabins. This includes (but is not limited to) a light source, first aid kit, cooking equipment, warm clothing and sleeping bags.
Cabin Season
Cabins are available for rent year round. Tent camping is not permitted at Little Presque Isle.
A minimum stay of 2 nights is required in cabins and a maximum stay of 15 nights is allowed. Reservations are required for cabin rental.

Distance to the nearest hospital is 8 miles. Distance to nearest telephone is 5 miles. Nearest campsite is 7 miles. Distance to a DNR park office is 10 miles. Water supply 50 feet, vault toilets 50 feet, lake 20 - 40 feet.
Firewood Information
Firewood is available for heating/cooking and using the cabin's woodstove. For campfires/cookouts outdoors using the fire ring, you may gather and use dead or fallen wood from the area around the cabins or purchase from a local vendor.
Step into an Adventure
Although the roads in Little Presque Isle are suitable for all vehicles, none of them lead directly to the cabins. This helps maintain the "rustic" appeal of your stay. Parking is available at trailheads.
Guests should be prepared to make up to a 1/2 mile hike to the cabin sites. The terrain is mostly flat and the trail is well marked.

- Dogs or other pets are not allowed at the cabins.
- The cabins are barrier free accessible.
Little Presque Isle has received assistance from the Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund (MNRTF). Established in 1976, MNRTF is supported by revenues from development of state owned oil, gas and mineral resources. These revenues provide support for acquisition and development of public recreation facilities and protection of natural resources.
