• Recreation 101 Events Taking Place at a Park Near You
Recreation 101Recreation 101 is a year-round GO-Get Outdoors program that recruits top instructors and sports equipment vendors to provide free or inexpensive hands-on lessons. The goal is to provide the novice sportsman with enough skill and knowledge to begin a new activity.

• Park & Read program gives library customers a free pass into Michigan state parks, museums and historic sites
Park and ReadNeed a break? Consider a mini-vacation spent outdoors amid the natural beauty of Michigan's state parks and recreation areas or exploring the stories and nostalgia of the museums and historic sites within the Michigan Historical Museum system - compliments of the Library of Michigan.
