Enjoy a walking tour of Wilson State Park hosted by author, songwriter, and songwriter Bill Jamerson, who will talk about the Civilian Conservation Corps’ work and lives as they relate to the park. The walking tour of Wilson State Park will cover such topics as who the CCC boys were, where they came from, how they worked, what they built, what they ate, and lots of other fun facts. This is a great educational opportunity, and what better way to spend a Saturday than enjoying the sunshine outdoors! Meet at the park lodge at 1pm to start the tour.
This tour is held in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit “The Way We Worked,” featured at Pere Marquette District Library from April 9-May 18, 2013.
