Product Metering Devices

Cleaning Product Metering Device Utilizing green cleaning products doesn't make as large of an impact in protection of the environment if the use and measurement of the product is not controlled. That's why, along with using certified green cleaning products, the Parks and Recreation Division has initiated product metering. Each location was asked to meter the five most utilized products; however they were encouraged to meter more.

Meter devices often are available from product companies or suppliers, usually at no extra charge. They may range from a simple measuring cup to more sophisticated pump dispense systems.

However metering is achieved, it is more adequate than the old "chug-a-lug" method or just eyeballing the amounts in a jug.

Metering allows for the intended amount of cleaning products to be mixed with water or other solutions. This positively impacts the amount of chemical exposure to both the user and the environment. In addition, product metering prolongs the overall consumption of the product saving money on purchasing costs.
