Programs for Educators and Students

• Academy of Natural Resources The Academy of Natural Resources offers educators the opportunity to learn about Michigan's diverse natural resources, discover current trends in their management and experience activities that bring this knowledge to the classroom. During this week-long workshop in the summer, four separate sections are offered, each with a different emphasis but all benefitting Michigan educators who wish to blend natural resources themes into their school curricula.

• Projects for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts The DNR and scouts have a long tradition of teaming up for conservation, history and outdoor recreation. We want to continue and strengthen this achievement. Come join us as we work together to protect Michigan's wealth of natural resources and ensure that we all can enjoy its bounty of outdoor activities.

Educators, attend a one-day workshop to learn the Explore Bowhunting curriculum. In turn, educators teach bowhunting to youth between the ages of 11 and 17. Explore Bowhunting teaches students how to interact with the natural world by developing basic skills used to bowhunt which focus on getting close to animals.
