What NASP Is About

Kids on the shooting line The Archery in the Schools program promotes student education and participation in the lifelong sport of target archery. The Department of Natural Resources implemented the Archery in the Schools Program in 2004. To date, over 500 schools representing 78 counties statewide have adopted the program.

The reason is simple, everyone has an equal opportunity to be successful in archery regardless of age, size, gender or physical ability. Schools who implement the program may offer target archery education as a curriculum choice in 4th thru 12th grade physical education classes.
