Wildlife Programs in your Classroom
Have you ever wondered?
Who left those tracks in your school yard? What a fox's fur feels like? Why a beaver's teeth are orange? Who put the droppings on your back porch? What would happen if deer ran out of food in their habitat? Where bats spend the winter?
Wonder no more! We will bring our expertise to you. The DNR Wildlife Division offers a variety of hands on educational programs about Michigan's amazing wildlife, free of charge!
Some popular topics include: track and scat identification, skull comparisons, migration, carrying capacity, bears, deer, bats, birds, common animal identification (furs/pelts), and habitat needs of wildlife, just to name a few. Programs are designed to meet standards set by the state board of education, and can also be adjusted specifically by request.
