  • 100% would recommend ANR to a fellow teacher.
  • 82% plan to come back for a different course next summer.

    Testimonials from 2012 Participants
"I've been involved in wildlife, natural history studies, wildlife film production and education for 37 years. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. The presenters were all enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I learned new things and was reminded of things that have faded from memory. The ideas I learned, to teach my students about nature, will surely be a hit and get my classes excited about the outdoors. My spirit has been refreshed and I thank you for a great week."

"This is a very welcoming family environment. It has been an honor to spend another week with the ANR staff this summer"

"I met many amazing people and learned new skills so one day I can take my own class out into the field. The staff/instructors are the most amazing people I have met. They have changed my life in so many ways and make me feel like I truly belong. I can't imagine a better week."

"This is my second year at ANR and I absolutely loved it"

"At the risk of sounding dramatic, this has been a truly spiritual experience. To see so many people so intensely passionate about what they do, what they believe in and in our natural resources is refreshing and also comforting, knowing our future generations will benefit from what nature has to offer. My biggest regret is that I didn't happen on this Academy sooner."

"I really enjoyed the way that everyone who taught us had great enthusiasm. I am leaving with many new exciting ideas that I will be passing on to others. I am looking forward to next year."

"The week has inspired me to begin preparing for the school year. I am going to make our school's nature area a priority and start planning how my students will develop and use it".
