• Mackinac State Historic Parks Outreach Programs These hour long programs bring the Straits area and Michigan to the classroom. Experience the sights, sounds and smells that will bring you closer to the cultural and natural history of Michigan. During the fall and spring our entertaining and informative interpretive staff bring these programs to you. These programs are designed for grades three through six.

• Mackinac State Historic Parks Education Programs-Artifact Box; Video or Slide Program Bring Mackinac to your classroom! Fill out the loan form or contact us at least two weeks in advance and we will get it to your classroom. Payment is to cover shipping and handling. Teacher or school is responsible for return shipping (or bring it to the Visitor's Center when you come for a site visit).

• History Nights at Michilimackinac Spend a night in the fort exploring colonial life in this exciting hands-on experience. March and drill as the soldiers did, make candles and bake bread over an open fire, wear a yoke to get water from the lake and learn what it took to survive on the frontier.

• Mackinac State Historic Park Site Visits Bring your group to Mackinac State Historic Parks for a great first-hand on site experience. Colonial Michilimackinac, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse and Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park in Mackinaw City and Fort Mackinac and Mackinac Island State Park on Mackinac Island can make history and science come alive!

• Mackinac area onsite activities--Scavenger Hunts Instructions and handouts for activities to be used during a site visit to the Mackinac area.
