What the Program is About

water lily study Project Learning Tree (PLT) provides educators the tools, training, and resources they need to bring the environment into their classrooms-and their students into the environment. Over 500,000 educators use PLT to teach about both the natural and built environment-forests, wildlife, water, air, energy, waste, climate change, invasive species, community planning, and culture to name a few. PLT materials are multi-disciplinary and aligned with national education standards and Michigan GLCEs.

Recognized for more than 30 years as a leader in environmental education, Project Learning Tree teaches students how to think, not what to think about our environment. PLT enhances critical thinking, problem solving, and effective decision making skills.
