  • What is Explore Bowhunting?

    Explore Bowhunting is an outdoor conservation education program focusing on interaction with people and wildlife. Photo of Hunting Ground BlindExplore Bowhunting teaches students how to interact with the natural world by developing basic skills used to bowhunt which focus on getting close to animals. Not only does Explore Bowhunting teach students how to interact with nature using ageless hunting skills, but it also teaches an appreciation of what is around them and enhances their encounters with the outdoors.


  • Who Can Use Explore Bowhunting?

    Students Finding Animal TracksExplore Bowhunting's audience is formal educators of middle and high school students and informal educator's of students 11-17; however this does not limit the use of the program. Adults and younger students would enjoy this curriculum.
    Whether your goal is to teach bowhunting in one course or choose individual activities to illustrate or further develop a skill, Explore Bowhunting's innovative approach will keep your students motivated!

How to Get Started

  • Instructor Workshops Educators will be required to attend a one day instructor workshop prior to program implementation. School, after school and parks and recreation program leaders are encouraged to attend.
  • Curriculum and Materials

    The Explore Bowhunting curriculum is more than a tool to teach bow hunting. It is designed to teach students how to feel comfortable in the outdoors whether the goal is to bowhunt, photograph wildlife,or interact with nature for any purpose.
