Recreational Archery Programs

Upward Bound Program
Learn to Teach Archery!

The Recreational Archery Program is designed to provide archery education and instructor certification for recreation leaders. Program participants will learn how to implement beginner to more advanced archery programs and receive guidance on how to utilize existing indoor and outdoor facilities to safely conduct a variety of archery programs and events for all age and skill levels. If you are looking for a new and exciting program that is fun for everyone, try archery!

Who Can Participate?
BullseyeThe Recreational Archery Program is designed to provide community archery and bowhunting education opportunities for:
  • municipal parks and recreation program leaders
  • nature and outdoor education staff
  • school teachers
  • non-profit youth serving organizations such as YMCA, Boy and Girls Scouts, 4-H and many more

How to Get Started

• Get Trained See USA Archery's instructor certification courses.

• Get The Equipment The DNR provides an archery equipment grant program to ensure your equipment is safe and affordable, state of the art, designed to fit every student and able to meet a variety of recreational programming needs.

• Create a Program The Recreational Archery Program will provide you with the knowledge, skills and resources to develop a variety of archery and bowhunting education programs. Participants will be trained to incorporate archery into classes, leagues, camps and special events.
