Ways You Can Engage
Through an opportunity from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, funding has been committed to acquire the Globe Building. This former ship engine factory located near the Detroit River will soon become the home of the Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure & Discovery Center.
However, we are still in need of approximately $2 million to fund the development, creation, and acquisition of the various displays, exhibits, and simulators that will be housed in the Outdoor Adventure & Discovery Center.
A tentative list of the types of theme areas to be in the Center has been proposed. Current efforts are underway to finalize these themes and messages that participants will experience while visiting the Center. Fisheries, wildlife, conservation, law enforcement, parks, boating, and other recreational programming staff are involved in this process.
We are seeking individuals, organizations, and businesses to underwrite these theme areas. Recognition of that support would be acknowledged in the various informational and promotional materials that are being developed.
EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY- For those who can commit to the project now, the opportunity exists to contribute input into the creation of the display, exhibit, or simulation they are interested in sponsoring.
