Michigan Special Species Statistics

Endangered and threatened numbers compiled from Michigan's List (effective April 9, 2009). Also included are animal species of special concern, as compiled by Michigan Natural Features Inventory. While not afforded legal protection by Michigan's legislation, many of these species are of concern because of declining or relict populations in the state.
