Honoring Yesterday, Engaging Today, Building Tomorrow

The Michigan Waterfowl Legacy(MWL) is a ten-year, cooperative partnership to restore, conserve, and celebrate Michigan's waterfowl, wetlands, and waterfowl hunting community. MWL is a "call to action" to honor yesterday, engage today, and to build for tomorrow. MWL is for waterfowlers, other hunters, and the general public. Fifth Annual Lake Effect Chapter of MDHA Youth Waterfowl Day

With 87 youth and 85 adults in attendance, this year's Youth Waterfowl Day was a succcess! Having moved to the Muskegon State Game Area this year we hope to see the event continue to grow and provide an excellent opportunity for youth to get involved, free of charge. Included in the events were the Safari Club's Sensory Safari Trailer, Local Michigan DNR staff, Conservation Officer's, local trappers and waterfowl hunters, the new Michigan Waterfowl Legacy booth, and much much more. All in attendance were able to go home with full bellies, big smiles on their faces, and even a free duck call.
