Admission

The Michigan Historical Center is a statewide administrative agency headquartered in the Michigan Library and Historical Center in downtown Lansing. There is no charge to enter the building.

The east wing of the building houses the Michigan Historical Center's Archives of Michigan and Michigan Historical Museum.

• Archives of Michigan

  There is no charge to enter or do research at the archives.

• Michigan Historical Museum

  Monday - Saturday: Adults $6; seniors $4; children $2 (optional)
  Sunday: Free admission for all visitors

Following is admission information for Michigan Historical Center museums and historic sites located across the state.

Visitors enter free of charge at:

• Mann House, Concord
• Michigan Iron Industry Museum, Negaunee
• Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center, Alpena
• Sanilac Petroglyphs, Cass City
• Walker Tavern, Brooklyn

Visitors enter the following sites free of charge but a Recreation Passport is required for motorists to enter state parks where these sites are located:

• Civilian Conservation Corps Museum, Roscommon
• Father Marquette National Memorial, St. Ignace
Fayette Historic Townsite, Garden
• Fort Wilkins/Copper Harbor Lighthouse, Copper Harbor
  
• Hartwick Pines Logging Museum, Grayling
• Tawas Point Lighthouse, East Tawas
