Tawas Point Birding Festival

Tawas Point is well-known for a high concentration of warblers during May, including Kirtland's Warbler, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Cape May Warbler. Numerous raptors and other birds are among the more than 300 species seen here. Held in cooperation with the Au Sable Valley Audubon Society, the birding festival brings you conservation and birding displays and insightful presentations from birding experts.

• Register online for a birding tour of Tawas Point, Tuttle Marsh and Clarks Marsh.
   
• On Saturday, see a "Birds of Prey" program presented by DeGraaf Nature Center and sponsored by the Friends of Tawas Point
   
• Friday and Saturday, between noon and 4 p.m. (except during the "Birds of Prey" presentation), enjoy a tour of Tawas Point Lighthouse, only $2 per person.
