    Dam Management Grants

    • Dam Management Grant Program (DMGP)image of a failing damn prior to being removedThe purpose of the DMGP is to provide funding and technical assistance to local and state units of government, non-profit groups and individuals to manage dam removal, repair and major maintenance projects that will enhance aquatic resources and fishing opportunities along with reducing infrastructure costs and improving public safety in Michigan.

    Application materials for the 2014 grant cycle will be available online by August 1, 2013 with applications being due on November 15, 2013.

    Final funding decisions will be announced on the 2013 applications by April 1, 2014.

    The DNR currently anticipates $350,000 to be available for 2014 grant awards.
