    Michigan Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board

    The Michigan Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board advises the Michigan Department of Natural Resources on policies, plans and programs concerning the Michigan Iron Industry Museum. It supports education programs and public use of the facility. The members of the commission are appointed by the governor.

    Representing the Marquette Co. Board of Commissioners

    Representing residents at large

    Susan Hornbogen, Marquette
    Representing general citizenry

    Jennifer L. Huetter, Negaunee
    Representing the Township of Negaunee

    Jack Hubbard, Grand Marais
    Appointed by Senate majority leader

    Larry D. Lankton, Houghton
    Representing general citizenry

    Robert Niemela, Ontonagon
    Representing the mining industry

    Charles M. Swanson, Marquette
    Representing Marquette Area History Center

    The public is invited to attend the advisory board's bimonthly meetings. Meetings begin at 4 p.m. at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum. Meeting dates can be confirmed by telephoning the museum at (906) 475-7857. People with disabilities needing accommodations for effective participation in these meetings should contact the Michigan Iron Industry Museum one week in advance.
