A pile of fly-fishing supplies includes reels loaded with colorful line and the handle of a rod.

Just in time for summer, why not add fly-fishing to your outdoor pastimes by learning how to cast from an expert? We've invited outdoorsman and professional fly tier Jeff "Bear" Andrews to teach you the basics of fly casting. Pre-registration is required; all materials provided. For ages ten and up.

The Michigan History Museum presents this program in celebration of our special exhibit, The River that Changed the World. Other special programs include a Fly-Tying Workshop and A River Adventure on the Red Cedar.

The Michigan History Museum—flagship of the Michigan History Museum System—is located in the east wing of the Michigan Library and Historical Center. Sunday admission and weekend parking are free. Read more Michigan History Museum visitor information.

We invite you to explore our online calendar, where you'll find all Michigan History Center events throughout the state.
