  • Becoming a Volunteer Steward

Contributing over 3000 hours in 2006 alone, there is no question that volunteer stewards had a lasting effect on unique natural ecosystems. In addition, they made new friends, learned about plants, animals and ecosystems, and felt a sense of accomplishment knowing they made a difference. At the same time, they enjoyed a healthy amount of exercise and fresh air in Michigan's great outdoors.

What's New in the Land of Parks, Recreation Areas and Harbors

We receive a great deal of mail and this is to let you know that we do pay attention. The answers you receive may not always be the ones you want, but we try to be responsive to your concerns.

Frequently asked Questions from Customers about Making Reservations

When I am reserving six months in advance, why are so few sites available? Why can't I get through to the call center at 8 a.m.? Internet people steal all the sites. Why is the system so unfair? And more!
