FINGERTIP REPORT: A - PIHP MEDICAID COST SUMMARY
Period: 10/1/2006 - 9/30/2007
During Fiscal Year 2007 (October 1, 2006 -September 30, 2007) PIHP Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Medicaid revenues totaled $1,634,037,062. Medicaid spending on services and administration totaled $1,572,001,651. Approximately seven percent of the revenue ($110,998,414) was spent on administrative costs (calculated based on costing principles established by the Encounter Data Integrity Team, see Establishing Managed Care Administrative Costs). The average Medicaid total cost per consumer was $10,998 and the average administrative cost was $777 per consumer.
