MICHIGAN—OPEN TO THE WORLD

Opportunity awaits you in Michigan, where innovative ideas are fueling our state's success.

Some key indicators of recent success:

  • Michigan is experiencing tremendous growth
  • Our economy is recovering faster than most of the United States
  • Unemployment is down
  • Personal income is rising

To continue our forward momentum, State leaders are turning to the State-sponsored EB-5 Regional Center to champion foreign investment and job growth. The State of Michigan EB-5 Regional Center is uniquely qualified to serve as your investment partner and has a pipeline of investment opportunities to suit your needs.

  • Investments of $500,000 to $1 million that create at least 10 full-time jobs here in Michigan, can lead to permanent legal residency
  • Investment options can range from
    • real estate
    • state government development programs
    • supporting local businesses

Our history of innovation and industry is well documented. It’s a past we’re proud of, and certainly one that supports us to this day as we chart the course for our future. Michigan’s industries are on the rise. Our workforce is strong. Our talent pool is skilled, smart and ready.

I strongly urge you to consider not only investing in our State but also to explore the possibility of making this wonderful place your home. There has never been a better time to invest in Michigan.

Sincerely,

Scott Woosley

  • A direct route to a green card
  • No day-to-day business management
  • Permanent residency in the United States for you, your spouse and any children under 21
  • Live, work and retire anywhere in the United States
  • Become a U.S citizen after five years of being a green card holder

A LITTLE INVESTMENT GOES A LONG WAY

The Michigan Community Development Corporation will administer the State of Michigan EB-5 Regional Center.*  Once you’ve selected a USCIS approved project, your investment of between $500,000 and $1 million will be allocated to that project. Each of our State of Michigan Regional Center projects must be preapproved by the USCIS (United States Citizen and Immigration Services) in order to be eligible to qualify for EB-5 green cards. We will work to ensure that each of the projects in our portfolio meets strict underwriting standards designed to satisfy the EB-5 requirements and to give you the confidence that an investment through us is vetted and informed. The EB-5 program provides for the USCIS’s completion of your visa application approval process once your investment has resulted in the creation of at least 10 full-time jobs here in Michigan and the EB-5 requirements are met.

EB-5 VISA PROGRAM OPTIONS

When applying for an EB-5 visa through our State of Michigan EB-5 Regional Center, there are two different paths to consider–the Standard EB-5 Visa program and the TEA  EB-5 Visa  program.

The Standard EB-5 Visa Program

In order to qualify under the Standard EB-5 Visa program, you must meet the following three requirements:

  • Make an investment in a new commercial enterprise
  • Make an investment of at least $1 million into that enterprise
  • That investment must lead to the direct or indirect creation of employment for at least 10 full-time U.S. workers

The TEA EB-5 Visa Program

In order to qualify under the TEA EB-5 Visa program, you must meet the following three requirements:

  • Make an investment in a commercial enterprise in a “targeted employment area” defined as an area that has experienced unemployment of at least 150% of the national average rate or a rural area as designated by Office of Management and Budget
  • Make an investment of at least $500,000 into that enterprise
  • That investment must lead to the direct or indirect creation of employment for at least 10 full-time U.S. workers

The investor is not required to live in the place of investment; rather, he or she can live wherever he/she wishes in the United States. The State of Michigan EB-5 Regional Center programs are ideal for the retiree or inactive investor due in large part to the “indirect employment” feature of these programs.

Aside from being a fantastic business opportunity, Michigan also represents an attractive destination for you and your family. For more information on your investment opportunities through the State of Michigan EB-5 Regional Center, contact:
