AN ALTERNATIVE TO NEW PROCUREMENT

The Federal government allows state agencies to acquire surplus items that Federal agencies no longer need.  These items include but are not limited to office equipment, supplies, maintenance equipment and trucks.  To obtain these items for state departments, personnel must supply agency coding numbers such as Index and PCA to allow interaccount billing.  See also Rates for Federal Surplus.
