MIPARS

The Michigan Permit and Routing System (MIPARS) allows you to apply for oversize/overweight commercial vehicle permits and check permit application status.

If you have a MIPARS User ID and Password,
then apply online.

If you do not have a User ID and Password and are interested in obtaining one you must meet the following requirements:

  • Obtain a minimum of 50 permits per year
  • Read, complete and submit Form 3754 PDF icon
  • Attend an onsite MIPARS training session
  • Have internet explorer 5.5 or above
  • Have Java software
Please call the MDOT Permit Office at 517-373-2121 to register for training.
