To get an idea if you are eligible, use the following Income Eligibility Chart.
For most families, DHS pays less than the full cost of child care. Families are expected to pay the difference between the DHS payment and the provider's actual charge. "% of DHS Rate Paid" means the portion of the DHS maximum rate (or provider's actual charge, if less) DHS will pay. To find what percent your family may qualify for, calculate your gross monthly income
(total earned and unearned income before taxes are taken out).
If you are paid weekly multiply your weekly wage by 4.3, if paid every 2 weeks multiply by 2.15. Find your gross monthly income in the row that corresponds to your family size. The % of DHS Rate Paid is in blue, just below it.
