Governor John Engler today re-appointed two individuals to the Michigan Civil Rights Commission, which investigates alleged discrimination against any person because of race, religion, color, or national origin. It also has the power to hold hearings, administer oaths, and require witnesses to appear in court.
Albert Calille, of Plymouth, is an attorney for Ameritech. He is re-appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2005.
Dr. Tarun Sharma, of Grosse Pointe, is a gastroenterologist and physician at Henry Ford Hospital. He is re-appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2005.
