Radio Address: Governor Granholm Says 2007 Marked with Progress Despite Challenges
In her weekly radio address, Governor Granholm said that 2007 was a year marked with progress despite the state's economic and budget challenges and pledged to continue investing in people and our quality of life in 2008.

Granholm Signs Bill Protecting Foster Children by Requiring Nationwide Criminal Background Checks
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm has signed legislation that will further protect children in Michigan beginning January 1 by requiring criminal background checks to be conducted on a national level for all licensees of children's foster care homes.
