Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Advisory Committee on Sanitarians

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the following recent appointments to the Advisory Committee on Sanitarians:

Bryan D. Brewer of Muskegon, owner of Central Wells & Pumps, LLC.  Mr. Brewer is appointed to represent Michigan Ground Water Association for a term expiring March 30, 2008.

Bruce A. Du Hamel of Hemlock, director of environment health for the Mid-Michigan District Health Department.  Mr. Du Hamel is appointed to represent registered sanitarians for a term expiring March 30, 2007.

Harry E. Grenawitzke of Monroe, environmental health consultant in private practice.  Mr. Grenawitzke is appointed to represent registered sanitarians for a term expiring March 30, 2008.

Robin D. Lewis of Lansing, sanitarian for Ingham County Department of Environmental Health.  Ms. Lewis is appointed to represent sanitarians for a term expiring March 30, 2008.

Theodore L. Loudon of Lansing, professor emeritus at Michigan State University and Michigan Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association board member.  Mr. Loudon is appointed to represent Michigan Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association for a term expiring March 30, 2008.

Janet A. Phelps of Grand Blanc, environmental health coordinator with the Genesee County Health Department.  Ms. Phelps is appointed to represent registered sanitarians for a term expiring March 30, 2006.

The Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the department relative to the qualifications for registration, establishment of education and training standards, and actions regarding disciplinary proceedings involving sanitarians.
 
These appointments are not subject to disapproval.
