Governor Granholm to Deliver State of the State Address Wednesday

Television, Radio Coverage Planned

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm will deliver her 2006 State of the State Address Wednesday, January 25, at 7 p.m. at the State Capitol in Lansing.
 
The address will be carried live on Michigan Government Television (MGTV) and will also be carried live on the following Michigan Public Television stations:
 
• WKAR TV23 – East Lansing
• WTVS TV56 – Detroit
• WGVU TV35 & 52 – Grand Rapids
• WFUM TV28 – Flint
• WCMU TV14 – Mount Pleasant
• WDCQ TV 19 – Saginaw, Bay City, Midland
• WMNU TV13 – Marquette

The address can also be heard live on Michigan Public Radio Network stations across the state, WWJ Radio (950 AM) in Detroit, WOOD NewsRadio (1300 AM) in Grand Rapids, WSGW (790 AM) in Saginaw and other Michigan Radio Network stations.  The address will be taped for broadcast later in the evening on WJR (760 AM) in Detroit.

The State of the State Address is given each year by the governor to a joint convention of the Michigan House and Senate to outline the governor's agenda and priorities for the coming year for the citizens of Michigan.
