LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on Richard E. Blouse, Jr., who has announced his retirement as president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber.
 
“Dick Blouse is a leader who has made a difference, and the region has been fortunate to benefit from his work over the past 12 years.  During his tenure, the Chamber has emerged not only as the voice of business in Southeast Michigan but has played a significant role on countless issues from regional transportation and passage of the stadium ballot proposal to border crossing safety and efficiency.  I will miss his leadership and his camaraderie and wish him every success in the future.”
