Granholm Appoints Kenneth King Judge of 36th District Court

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Kenneth J. King as judge of the 36th District Court which serves the city of Detroit.

King, of Detroit, most recently served as executive administrator in the Office of the Wayne County Executive. Prior to that, he served as assistant prosecuting attorney with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. King’s participation in civic organizations includes serving as a volunteer tutor with the Siena Literacy Center and acting as legal counsel for the International Gospel Center.

King earned his law degree from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated from Michigan State University.

He replaces Judge David Martin Bradfield who has retired. King's term will expire January 1, 2009.
