Governor Granholm's Statement on the Passing of Bo Schembechler

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on the passing of former University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler:

"My thoughts and prayers are with Coach Schembechler's family on this sad day.  Bo Schembechler was an inspiration for generations of University of Michigan fans, players and alumni and for football programs across the nation. Not just in his athletic career but throughout his life, his integrity and work ethic embodied the true spirit of a ‘Victor'.  I know that the coach will be looking down over his Wolverines this weekend, and will continue to watch over the Big House for seasons to come."
