Governor Appoints Fagerman Judge of 28th Circuit Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of William M. Fagerman as judge of the 28th Circuit Court, which serves Wexford and Missaukee Counties.

Fagerman, of Cadillac, most recently served as thrice-elected prosecuting attorney for Wexford County, as well as an attorney in private practice. Mr. Fagerman's participation in civic organizations includes serving as member and board member of Team-Up Cadillac, board member and vice chairman of the Traverse Narcotics Team, and as a member of the Domestic Violence Task Force.

Fagerman earned his law degree from Wayne State University, received his bachelor's degree from Michigan Technological University, and graduated from Cadillac High School.

He replaces Judge Charles Corwin, who has resigned, for a term expiring January 1, 2009. This appointment is not subject to disapproval.
