Governor Granholm Announces Appointments to Pharmacy, Cosmetology Boards

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy and Board of Cosmetology:

Michigan Board of Pharmacy

Rev. Jerome Washington, Ph.D., of Detroit, pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Detroit.  Rev. Washington is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring June 30, 2006.  He succeeds James D. Bosscher who has resigned.

Board of Cosmetology

Cheryl Hadsall of Birch Run, hairstylist at PaceSetter Hair Design in Saginaw.  Ms. Hadsall is appointed to represent professionals for a term expiring December 31, 2007.  She succeeds Brenda Secord whose term has expired.

John Jordan of Detroit, pastor and founder of Let Them Come Missionary Baptist Church in Wayne County.  Mr. Jordan is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2007.  He succeeds Joyce McCoy whose term has expired

These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
