Whereas , ACSET Latin American Services continually strives to provide services that allow Hispanic senior citizens to lead full and productive lives; and,

Whereas, Hispanic senior citizens are highly respected for their contributions to the history and cultural richness of our Great Lakes State; and now therefore be it,

Resolved , That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim May 23, 2008, as Hispanic Senior Citizens Day in Michigan and I encourage all citizens to recognize the unique needs and contributions of Hispanic senior citizens throughout Michigan.
