Governor Granholm's Statement on General Motors

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on General Motors:
 
"Today represents a new beginning for the new General Motors.  The company can now move forward and concentrate on designing, engineering and manufacturing cars and trucks for customers all across the world.  Along with our other domestic auto companies, General Motors will help lead a green industrial revolution in Michigan and our nation by building more fuel-efficient vehicles.  We stand with General Motors, its employees and their families as they embark on this new journey."
