Whereas, The mission of the National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) is to enhance, promote, and enrich the lives and careers of every pharmacy technician by recognizing pharmacy technicians as an integral part of the pharmacy/patient care team; and,
Whereas, The NPTA works to promote education, training, and certification for all pharmacy technicians by providing continuing education; and,
Whereas, NPTA seeks to elevate the profession of the pharmacy technician to the highest possible level using the cornerstones of Education, Advocacy, and Support; and also by providing leadership for the profession; and,
Whereas, To celebrate the contributions of its members, NPTA chose the theme of “Pharmacy Technicians – Helping America Feel Better” to the reflect the dedication to service that all technicians to the pharmacy/patient care team; and now therefore be it,
Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim October 21, 2004, as Pharmacy Technician Recognition Day in Michigan, and I urge all citizens to recognize the contribution of Pharmacy Technicians.
