Whereas, The Michigan vacation and recreation experience is unequaled by virtue of our state’s extraordinary natural resources, natural beauty, and great destinations; and,

Whereas, The recreation vehicle and the campground industries continue to serve the recreational needs of Michigan residents and countless visitors every year; and,

Whereas, The economy of Michigan is well served by the recreation vehicle and campground industries through the creation of jobs in both service and manufacturing; and now therefore be it,

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim the week of May 14, 2006, as Recreation Vehicle and Campground Week in Michigan.
