Hispanic Senior Citizens Day

Whereas, Latin American Services has a proud 26-year tradition of hosting this event, honoring the contributions that Hispanic senior citizens make to family and community life; and,

 

Whereas, Latin American Services continually strives to provide services to Hispanic senior citizens to enrich life quality, helping them to lead full and productive lives; and,


Whereas, Hispanic senior citizens are highly respected for contributions made to the history and cultural richness of our Great Lakes State; and now therefore be it,

 

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim May 26, 2005, as Hispanic Senior Citizens Day in Michigan and I encourage all citizens to recognize the unique needs and contributions of Hispanic senior citizens throughout Michigan.
