Preparedness Month

Whereas, September 2006, has been proclaimed as “National Preparedness Month”; and,

 

Whereas, The State of Michigan will stress to all citizens the importance of family emergency preparedness and urge families to be ready before emergencies happen; and,

 

Whereas, “National Preparedness Month” provides a welcome opportunity for the state of Michigan to work cooperatively with local jurisdictions to make citizen preparedness a priority for every person, family, and community in Michigan; and now there for be it,

 

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim September 2006, as Preparedness Month in Michigan.
