Whereas, Alpena Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services is observing and celebrating National Rehabilitation Awareness Week beginning September 16, 2007; and,

Whereas, The citizens of Michigan recognize and value the education, social and humanitarian contributions of its many citizens with disabilities; and,

Whereas, Those citizens have found hope, spirit and dignity through the services of rehabilitation medicine; and now therefore be it,

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim the week of September 16, 2007, as Rehabilitation Awareness Week.  I encourage all citizens to renew their commitment to people with disabilities and to the efforts of rehabilitative medicine which improves their quality of life.
