Whereas, The health of all citizens is a major concern and responsibility of healthcare
professionals serving the citizens of our State; and,
Whereas, Qualified professionals who specialize in the use of diagnostic medical
ultrasound to aid the physician in the diagnosis of disease, share a commitment
to provide quality healthcare for the people of Michigan; and,
Whereas, Professionals in sonography are dedicated to the highest standards
of professionalism and maintain these standards through continuing education,
credentialing, and personal commitment; and now therefore be it,
Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan,
do hereby proclaim October, 2003, as Sonography Awareness Month and I encourage
all citizens to observe this month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and
activities.
