Whereas, Project managers worldwide are working to improve our quality of life, enhance services and products, build new communities, restore environments affected by natural disasters, and support the economy; and,
Whereas, These dedicated professionals and their teams exemplify the importance of leadership, cooperation, creativity, innovation, and perseverance; and,
Whereas, The Michigan Chapters of PMI are spearheading this month's activities by promoting project management, including presentations to high school seniors on project management as a career; and,
Whereas, Whether rebuilding a landmark or constructing a new gateway to our state, Michigan's capable project managers are working to ensure our safety and promote economic growth; and now therefore be it,
Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim November 2007 as Project Management Month.
