Does the Governor recognize special achievement?
Yes, the Governor does recognize special achievement through letters, certificates,
tributes and proclamations. If you would like to request special recognition
from the Governor please fill out the Congratulatory
Letters/Certificates form. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your request to
be fulfilled.
The Governor also meets with individuals and groups deserving of special recognition during Constituent Hours. To learn more, or to request a meeting please refer to the Meeting with the Governor webpage.
What is the difference between a proclamation and a tribute from the Governor?
A proclamation is used to proclaim a week, day, month, or year for a particular
cause, group, historical event etc. A tribute is an official document from the
Governor used to honor groups, people, or causes.
