Tax Lien

Why was there a tax lien placed on my property?

A tax lien was placed on your property because you are liable for a delinquent tax debt. This tax debt is likely owed to one or more of the departments of State Government. The lien is security that proceeds due to you from the sale of real or personal property will be applied to that debt. To have a lien released the Department of Treasury requires that you pay your debt in full. For further information please contact the Collections Division of the Department of Treasury at (517) 636-5265.
