• About the Task Force
In December 1991, Governor John Engler appointed the Governor's Task Force on Children's Justice (task force) with Honorable Elizabeth A. Weaver, then of the Michigan Court of Appeals, as Chairperson. The task force was appointed with the express purpose of meeting the requirements of a state multidisciplinary task force under the Children's Justice Act (42 USC 5106C; PL 100-294 as amended).

• Governor's Task Force on Children's Justice Mission and Vision
The Governor's Task Force on Children's Justice updated their vision and mission statements in 2006.

• Accomplishments
The Governor's Task Force on Children's Justice has completed many projects and has had numerous accomplishments since its inception in 1991.
