Hometown Hoops The Michigan Historical Museum special exhibit, Hometown Hoops, traces the evolution of high school basketball in Michigan in the 20th century. A boys' state championship is established after World War I. Girls' basketball goes in and out of vogue. More and more people become involved in presenting the sport?not just players, parents and coaches?but fans, ticket-takers, scorers, janitors and others. High school basketball becomes a part of a community's identity |
