Council and Staff Information The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs is made up of 15 members who are appointed by the Governor. MCACA Strategic Plan 2006 - 2010 Spotlight FY 2009 Peer Panel Review Meetings In order to provide an open environment in which to review applications for funding, the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs utilizes an open peer panel application review process. Panel meetings are open to the public and applicants are encouraged to attend. What's NEW for MCACA's FY09 Grant Programs . . . Arts and Culture are Pure Michigan The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids and Travel Michigan are proud to announce the first arts and culture centered tourism campaign as part of Travel Michigan's "Pure Michigan" marketing campaign. The Arts and Humanities Media Project The Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs have partnered with Michigan Public Media to create several new video segments about how arts and culture play a vital role in quality of life, economic and community development.
