The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs serves to encourage, develop and facilitate an enriched environment of artistic, creative, cultural activity in Michigan.

The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs is made up of 15 members who are appointed by the Governor.

Arts and Culture are Pure Michigan
The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids and Travel Michigan are proud to announce the first arts and culture centered tourism campaign as part of Travel Michigan's "Pure Michigan" marketing campaign.

The Arts and Humanities Media Project
The Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs have partnered with Michigan Public Media to create several new video segments about how arts and culture play a vital role in quality of life, economic and community development.
