Vintage Baseball

Sunday
August 3, 2008
1 p.m.

Hartwick Pines Logging Museum, Grayling

Baseball has changed a lot since the days of Abner Doubleday. See the difference as the Hartwick Pines Base Ball Club Swampers take on the Ludington Mariners in a game that has the look and feel of the 19th-century game—from the old-style uniforms to the old-style (1860) rules.

You'll find the game at the Hartwick Pines State Park picnic area.

This event is free of charge. For more information, please telephone (989) 348-2537.

Sponsored by the Friends of Hartwick Pines.

Hartwick Pines Logging Museum-part of the Michigan Historical Museum System-is located eight miles northeast of Grayling, in Hartwick Pines State Park; a Michigan State Parks motor-vehicle permit is required for park entry. Here's more information about how to find Hartwick Pines.
